Love Magazine: Aesthetic Hate
I have yet to get a chance to pick up a copy of Katie Grand's new publication Love Magazine, but so far the cover does not have me very interested. Grand's color palette choice as well as the type face for the title are complete garbage in my point of view. I'll admit the image of a naked Beth Ditto will stop people dead in their tracks, but honestly what has Ditto and her band The Gossip done recently that garner cover image status. Anyways I will have to check out the magazine when I can before I pass judgement on the rag. Good luck to the Love crew.

dude I completely agree. in terms of starting a publication on a bad note, LOVE pretty much takes the cake: bland corporate signage on the title, and using beth ditto as nothing but shock value considering the gossip has little to no relevance lately. theres a great lara stone editorial inside but haven't seen the whole magazine yet and this cover doesn't really make me want to. -marika (http://wartimerecess.blogspot.com)
