Obscur

Obscur is a Swedish menswear label that just recently caught my eye and I have to say it's stunning. A very drapey and dark collection, Obscur definitely barrows from some designers inspirationally speaking but they way they put their designs together is both unique and very well thought out. The detailing on a lot of the pieces is fantastic. Do your self a favor get on it soon

Obscur.

Academy For Men Magazine Launch

Academy For Men Magazine is a project based out of Australia that I was turned on to by my friend Johnny Leong at Who Am Eye. Academy is a digitally based magazine that focuses on menswear in Australia but it also features some well written lifestyle pieces as well. The layout and the look of this new digital magazine is clean and classic yet has little distinguishing twists along the way. Academy also is featuring some fantastic editorial shoots that are extremely well thought out and eye catching. Well enough of the reach around for the guys behind the mag, just go check it out.

Paul Smith Sale Store Now Open

Paul Smith has landed in Williamsburg, Southside non the less with his sale shop (4 blocks from my apartment how convenient). The Brooklyn outpost of Britain's most dapper man plays host to the many brands sale items ranging from mainline Paul Smith to PS By Paul Smith as well as Red Ear Wear for Work. Inside the small store there are all the signatures of the brand at great prices, but one still must wonder how many Paul Smith clients are in this part of the neighborhood. Grand Street as up and coming as it is (A.P.C. Surplus, Walter Foods, etc.) is still rather low foot traffic for large parts of the day, but hey heres hoping it works out.

Ann Demuelemeester Boots

I was fortunate enough to get a chance to purchase some Ann Demuelemeester boots from a friend for a fantastic price this week and I did just that. These are the boots from the runway presentation of Spring/Summer 2006, they are a beautiful calf skin boot. I'm not gonna lie I am pretty goddamn excited to have these guys.

Junya Watanabe

Yohji Yamamoto

Robert Geller

Marc By Marc Jacobs

Adam Kimmel

Veronique Branquinho

Stripes of directions and widths were seen all around the world for men this spring. The versatility of stripes this spring is astounding and something to definitely incorporate in to your own wardrobe. The pattern of stripes can be utilized either as the center point of a look or as subtle accent to any outfit. This season also saw stripes working with polka dots and other patterns or conflicting stripes on different pieces of outfits, so get on it and get some stripes.
